1954 Erich Gründemann founds Ferak as a laboratory chemical company.   1962 Ferak enters the GDR and Russian market and becomes a leading supplier of laboratory chemicals within a few years.   1975 Agencies in India and Taiwan (Ferak India/Ferak Taiwan) are founded.   1985 82 employees, three sites and a turnover of DEM 15.000.000,--.   1989 Loss of all GDR and Russian customers due to the reunification of Germany.   1990/91 Closure of two sites and loss of about 70 employees.   1992 Thomas Gründemann joins Ferak and starts restructuring the company to R&D contract work and organic synthesis.   2000 Thomas Gründemann establishes Ferak Berlin GmbH.   2004 50th anniversary of Ferak on 17th January   2006 Four departments: Contract R&D, Production & Custom synthesis, Cleaning agents, NMR contract work.   2007 Ferak receives DIN ISO 9001 and 14001 certification.
